How to maintain and store ink cartridges

In the daily use of the inkjet printer, most manufacturers and users will roughly understand and familiar with some of the maintenance and maintenance of the inkjet printer, but it will be neglected in the maintenance and storage of the inkjet cartridge. EC-JET will introduce you some notices in the maintenance of inkjet cartridges.

1 .   Material to be required for ink cartridge maintenance.

Wiping material requirements: non-woven cloth

non-woven material requirements:

• Material: 100% polyester

• Anti-static level

• Scope of application: aviation manufacturing and maintenance, laboratory, electronics industry, computer assembly, optical instrument manufacturing, LCD liquid crystal display, precision instrument, optical products.

2. Wiping and maintaining procedures of ink cartridges

• Water-based ink wiping: spray an appropriate amount of distilled water on the non-woven fabric; Flatten the non-woven fabric, turn the nozzle down, and gently and slowly wipe the nozzle in the direction shown. If the nozzle is seriously blocked and still cannot achieve good printing effect after wiping, soak the cartridge nozzle in about 30 warm water for 5 minutes, and then wipe the nozzle with a clean non-woven cloth moistened with distilled water; If the above wiping method still cannot be solved, please send the cartridge back to the original factory for maintenance.

• Solvent-based ink wiping: flatten the dry non-woven fabric, turn the nozzle down, and gently wipe the nozzle in the direction shown; Do not wipe the nozzle with other solvents such as water and alcohol; When wiping and system self-maintenance are not enough, special tools can be used to extract the air inside the cartridge. Tips: Frequent pumping bubbles will cause permanent damage to the nozzle, it is recommended to use this method as little as possible.

3. Storage precautions of ink cartridge

Inkjet cartridges should be stored in a cool environment, avoid direct sunlight. When the ink cartridge is not printed, it should be removed from the equipment immediately, wipe the nozzle surface clean, and cover it with the card sleeve, keep the nozzle direction facing up, and place it in a closed and clean space.

Attention of card sleeves for ink cartridges

• Please use the original standard card sleeve;

• Different types of ink, do not share ink cartridge sleeve;

• If solvent-based ink is not used immediately, do not open the original packaging.

• After the outer packaging of solvent-based ink is unwrapped, please put it into use immediately and use it out as soon as possible.

• Solvent-based inks should be used within the warranty time.
